Great Northern Rd# 39816

This single door 50-foot boxcar with Roller Bearing trucks, was built for Great Northern in 1966 and painted into the glacier green scheme with red doors and featured a cushioned underframe. Great Northern was a Class 1 railroad founded in 1881 and eventually was merged with Northern Pacific, and others, to form Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970.
