The large tractor youngtimer from Neuss production
Another legendary youngtimer that has earned the model-making 1:87 WIKING monument. The IHC 1455 XL is something special because, as a tractor that is still in use, farmers appreciate it.Numerous companies still use the 145 hp and 6.5 ton tractor for their daily farm tasks. The 1455 XL is one of the few tractors of the youngtimer generation that people are happy to remain loyal to.Reason enough for WIKING to miniaturize the tractor from the 1980s 87 times over and thus once again cement the good reputation of their agricultural themed bastion. With the IHC 1455 XL, the standard tractor with all-wheel drive that was once built in Neuss is miniaturized. This type was the largest tractor built by International Harvester at the time.It was the IHC answer to the changing requirements in German agriculture, which demanded more horsepower and therefore larger and more powerful tractors. The last IHC 1455 XL was built on December 20, 1996.It was the last tractor in the world designed by International Harvester and built eleven years after the merger with Case.Over 7,600 specimens were to find their way to farms.
