A roadster icon that made history

Elvis Presley drove the BMW 507 during his German station in Bad Nauheim – many other stars later picked up this unusual roadster.Because its shape was attractive back then and is still considered timeless today. This is how the BMW 507 achieved the undisputed status of a roadster icon in automobile design. The BMW 507 was presented at the Frankfurt IAA in 1955 and was launched with a 150 hp V8 engine with 3,168 cm to compete with the legendary Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Gullwing. In fact, the BMW 507 is significantly more compact and also significantly rarer than the 300 SL in terms of the number of units achieved and the examples that have survived.Only 252 units were delivered between 1956 and 1959 – the price at that time was around 26,000 marks. To date, the collection value has risen to over 700,000 euros. At WIKING, the BMW 507 is now one of the early classics with new shapes and therefore one of the milestones in German automotive history.
